PLEASE READ this notice regarding the merger of Spotdata and eMediaTRADE electronic invoicing services:

Hello Spotdata Customers,

As part of the ongoing merger of Spotdata and eMediaTRADE operations, we will be moving all Spotdata customer accounts to our eMediaTRADE service. Spotdata account users will see a Spotdata logo when they log in.

eMediaTRADE is as easy as using Spotdata. Login, upload/download your invoice files, and logout.

In the next few weeks, we will send you a username and password for eMediaTRADE, located at https://emediatrade.net. The cost for using eMediaTRADE is the same as for Spotdata: $1 per invoice sent (stations) or retrieved (agencies), billed quarterly, with no term commitment.

March 27, 2026, at 2pm Eastern will be the cutoff time for invoice uploads to Spotdata. April 9, 2026 at 6pm will be the last time to download invoices or PDF files from Spotdata. Existing Spotdata invoices and account history will not be transferred to eMediaTRADE.

For more information, please see the frequently asked questions below, and for questions not answered here feel free to contact our support team at support@adcorelocal.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Spotdata Service Changes

What is the last day I can upload invoices files to the Spotdata service?

March 27, 2026, at 2pm Eastern is the cutoff time for processing invoices in the Spotdata service. This is the last Friday of the March broadcast month. All billing for the April 2026 broadcast month should be sent through the eMediaTRADE service. You can begin to send invoices through eMediaTRADE as soon as you receive your username and password.

What is the last day I can download and print invoices in the Spotdata service?

April 9, 2026, at 6pm Eastern is the cutoff time for logging into Spotdata to download and print invoices.

Are you moving all Spotdata accounts to the eMediaTRADE service?

No, only Spotdata accounts that have had activity since April 2025 will be migrated to the eMediaTRADE service. If you have not used your Spotdata account since then and would like to send electronic invoices through our service, we ask that you simply register for a new eMediaTRADE account at https://adcorelocal.com/access.

I have been using the Spotdata service but I have not received an email with my eMediaTRADE username and password. What should I do?

We are working hard to migrate our customers and send account information to the active Spotdata agencies first, then the active Spotdata station customers. If you have not received an email from us with your new username and password by March 20, please reach out to us. It could mean that we don’t have a current email for your account, or that your account has had no activity since April 2025. Please contact us at support@adcorelocal.com and we will update your contact information, or ask you to fill out the registration form for eMediaTRADE.

Will my invoices and account history be transferred to the eMediaTRADE service?

No. Invoices from the Spotdata service will not be moved to the eMediaTRADE service. Please download or print any invoices from the Spotdata service before the cutoff time above. The two electronic document services are fundamentally different and will not allow a transfer of historical data to your new eMediaTRADE account. Also note that eMediaTRADE keeps your invoices for about 360 days. Invoices older than that are automatically and permanently removed from the service.

What are the benefits of moving Spotdata customers to the eMediaTRADE service?

Having all our electronic invoice trading partners using a single service will enable more stations and agencies to trade invoices, resulting in a more useful service for all. The eMediaTRADE service is being enhanced and maintained and has been in operation for decades. Our support team continually monitors the health of the service and combined, has decades of experience in electronic media document interchange. Our additional support for stations and agencies that do not use billing or stewardship software means we maintain a large network of media trading partners of all sizes.

eMediaTRADE Service

What if I already have an Agency account with eMediaTRADE?

Some agencies will temporarily have two accounts in eMediaTRADE: one for your EMT number and one for your IDB number, which will show the Spotdata logo. This will allow you to continue to download invoices for free from your EMT account, and still pay the same rate you've been paying for your Spotdata IDB account. For now, you will continue to use both accounts and get separate email notifications for each. Later in 2026 we will discontinue the free agency accounts and merge the accounts into a single Spotdata-branded account. We will provide plenty of notice before we take this step.

What is the cost of using the eMediaTRADE service?

The cost for Spotdata accounts that are moved to eMediaTRADE will remain the same: $1 per invoice uploaded / retrieved, billed quarterly with no term commitment. You may close your account at any time.

Do I have to sign up for eMediaTRADE for a length of time? What is the term?

There is no set term for using the eMediaTRADE service. You will continue to be billed for the service based on usage and you may close your account at any time.

What if I already have a station account with eMediaTRADE?

If you are already using the eMediaTRADE service, we recommend waiting until April to upload your March 2026 broadcast Spotdata invoice files to eMediaTRADE. This will give us time to migrate Spotdata agency accounts to the eMediaTRADE service.

I currently have a free agency account with eMediaTRADE. Will AdCore Local start charging existing eMediaTRADE agencies to download invoices?

Yes. Later in 2026 we will start to charge existing eMediaTRADE agencies to download invoices, at the same $1 per invoice downloaded rate. At that time we will also migrate your account to a Spotdata-branded account. Details will be sent well ahead of that change. We will be respectful and accommodating to our existing eMediaTRADE customers who receive large numbers of invoices.

Will AdCore Local start charging existing eMediaTRADE stations based on usage?

At some point in the future we would like all our station customers to pay for the service based on usage. For many customers this will result in a lower bill. We will be respectful and accommodating to our existing eMediaTRADE customers who send large numbers of invoices.

What if I have multiple station billing offices? Can I get multiple station accounts with eMediaTRADE?

Yes, if you have multiple billing offices uploading invoices, we can set up additional accounts for your stations.

Does eMediaTRADE support sending / receiving invoices via SFTP data transfers?

We currently support plain FTP and SFTP (recommended) for receiving invoices from large station groups and traffic software providers, and sending invoices to large agencies or agency software providers (such as Mediaocean) or B2B payment services where appropriate. eMediaTRADE currently does not support FTPS data transfers.

Can I continue to use IDB numbers for the Agency ID in my billing software and invoice files? Or will I have to change all my Agency IDs to EMT numbers?

You may continue to upload invoices using the IDB numbers for the Agency ID. The eMediaTRADE service will understand IDB numbers and know where to send the invoices. You can also use some EMT numbers and some IDB numbers in the same invoice file.

The cutoff time for uploading invoices to Spotdata was 2pm Eastern for invoices to be processed that day. Is the cutoff time different for eMediaTRADE?

eMediaTRADE processes invoices differently than Spotdata. There is no cutoff time as invoices are processed continuously in the order they are uploaded to the service, instead of processing invoices once a day in a batch. Once an invoice file is uploaded, it could be ready for an agency to download in just a few minutes, and during busier times of the month it could take an hour or longer. Some invoices are sent to agencies via SFTP data transfer, and these may take longer to be picked up, delivered or processed by the agency.

We currently have multiple users for our Spotdata account. Will this be the same with eMediaTRADE?

No, you will have a single user login that is shared for all the users assigned to your account. The reason for this is to have users back each other up and be able to see all invoices associated with your account. For station groups that have multiple traffic/billing offices, additional accounts may make sense.

Can I upload the same invoices multiple times to the eMediaTRADE service?

Yes. eMediaTRADE will allow duplicate invoices to be uploaded. Our eMediaTRADE service billing process will not bill you for duplicate invoices uploaded, but agencies may not be prepared for them. Our recommendation is to not upload the same invoice file more than once. If there is a question about an agency receiving an invoice sent by eMediaTRADE please contact support before sending the invoice file again.

Can multiple people at my company receive email notifications of invoices sent / received?

Yes. Please contact our support team at support@adcorelocal.com and we can add additional notification email addresses to your account.

I want to be able to print and/or download PDF files of invoices. Can I do that with eMediaTRADE?

Yes. eMediaTRADE allows you to display an invoice as a PDF file that you can view, print or download. For agencies without stewardship software, they have the option of bulk downloading invoices in PDF.

Is the eMediaTRADE web site as easy to use as the Spotdata web site?

Yes, but some of the functions and features may have different names. For example, eMediaTRADE refers to electronic invoices as affidavits. Quick Guides to uploading, downloading and printing invoices can be found here: https://adcorelocal.com/access

For agency accounts, what is the eMediaTRADE Inbox folder? Received folder?

Invoices in your Inbox folder are new and have not been download or printed. Invoices in your Received folder have been downloaded and/or printed.

For station accounts, what is the eMediaTRADE Outbox folder? Sent folder?

Invoices in your Sent folder have been validated and processed and sent to an agency account for them to retrieve. Invoices in your Outbox folder have been processed but not sent to an agency. Outbox invoices may have missing or invalid client/product/estimate codes, unknown or missing IDB or EMT numbers, or other issues that prevent them from being sent to an agency. The AdCore Local support team will determine any issues and either correct them manually or contact the station for additional information.

How long will eMediaTRADE store my invoices?

The standard retention period is 360 days. Invoices older than that will be permanently deleted from the eMediaTRADE service.

Will I still receive an email when I upload invoices to eMediaTRADE?

Yes. The email subject line will be, “Sent affidavits” and will be sent from support@emediatrade.net or support@adcorelocal.com. We can automatically send these email notifications to multiple individuals or group email addresses. Attached to this email notification will be a text file that contains a list of invoices that were uploaded, but not the actual invoice files.

Will I still receive an email when new invoices are ready for me to retrieve from eMediaTRADE?

Yes. The email subject line will be, “New affidavits have arrived for…” and will be sent from support@emediatrade.net or support@adcorelocal.com. We can automatically send these email notifications to multiple individuals or group email addresses. Attached to this email will be a text file that contains a list of invoices that are ready to be retrieved, but not the actual invoice files.

Will the support team be different for eMediaTRADE?

No. The support team for eMediaTRADE is the same team that has been supporting Spotdata since April 2025. Our support email address is support@adcorelocal.com and we are available 9am-6pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Holiday hours and other office closings will be announced at the bottom of the eMediaTRADE login page at https://emediatrade.net.

Is eMediaTRADE a new electronic invoicing service?

eMediaTRADE has been in use by our customers for nearly three decades. We continue to enhance and maintain the eMediaTRADE service.

Are eMediaTRADE and MXD the same thing? What is AdCore Local?

Yes. MXD is the web-based electronic invoicing service that many of our customers and friends refer to as eMediaTRADE, which was the name of our company for many years. We renamed the company AdCore Local to better reflect our products and services beyond electronic documents and media invoicing. When we bill our customers for the Spotdata and eMediaTRADE services, the company name will remain AdCore Local.

Does eMediaTRADE process electronic document types other than just invoices?

Yes. Although electronic invoices are the majority of documents we currently process, we can also process prelog, postlog, inventory, insertion order, and contract electronic document types in various formats and specifications. For more information, please contact support@adcorelocal.com.

I want to send electronic invoice files to an agency, but I do not have traffic/billing software. Can I still send electronic invoice files with eMediaTRADE?

Yes. We have a spreadsheet template that stations can fill out that includes the data required by agencies. We have a number of station trading partners that do not have traffic/billing software. For more information, please contact support@adcorelocal.com. Note that there may be an additional charge for this service.

I want to receive electronic invoices from media sellers, but I do not have agency stewardship software. Can I still use the eMediaTRADE service?

Yes. The eMediaTRADE service supports electronic invoice delivery in the traditional electronic invoice format (commonly known as the 4As or AAAA format), PDF and a simple CSV/spreadsheet format.
